The accident left him with hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the body). However, 18 years later, Pritchard returns to the Totem Pole to find out if he can finish the climb. If you're keen to learn more about Pritchard's adventure, watch Doing It Scared, an 11-minute short from Australia to be screened at Banff Mountain Film Festival 2017.

The festival is held every autumn in Banff, Alberta (Canada), where over nine days, filmmakers and photographers from across the globe gather to share groundbreaking expeditions and adventures shot on film. With selected films, the fest then tours the world. The Mumbai chapter is organised annually by The Himalayan Club, one of the earliest expedition clubs established in the sub-continent in 1928. This year's line-up includes 10 adventure shorts from USA, Canada, France and UK.
