If you’ve never explored Goa in the monsoon, you might want to sign up for Go(a) With The Flow! — a trip organised by travel group,  SomePlaceElse, over the long Independence Day weekend.

The highlights of the trip include a stay at a heritage boutique hotel for two nights and three days (inclusive of breakfast), a session of white water rafting on the Mahdei river, a session on Goan cuisine from experts, visits to nearby beaches, and generally, soaking in Goa in the rains.

Speaking about the event, founder Ritika Saraf, says, “This trip is about experiencing the other side of Goa when it’s lush green and is romantically charming. Located away from the popular beaches of Goa, yet not more than 20 minutes away is Siolim, a quaint village where our hotel is; it’s a 350-year-old Portuguese bungalow converted into a boutique hotel with a pool.”

She adds that white water rafting is functional only in the monsoon. Rafting will be done on the Mahdei river. The Goan cooking lesson with experts will include a visit to the market where participants can learn how to pick the best supplies.
