My wife simply refuses to put on any make-up!

Dear Diana,
My wife doesn't like make-up at all. We have been married and everything is great except that I would love my wife to put on a bit of make-up. She tried it one time and she looked great. I even went to the extent of giving her Rs 5000 to spend on make-up. Instead, she spent it on other stuff and never bought any. What's so wrong in watnting her to style up a little? She's 28, and it's a great age to style up. My friend feels that as my wife is a doctor, she prefers not to. I disagreed. You think that's the reason?

Dear Friend,
The answer to why your wife doesn't wear makeup should be obvious, it's because she doesn't want to. Perhaps she's so confident in herself that she feels she's beautiful enough the way she is, so it would be a waste of time. If she is, then good for her. Not many women are completely satisfied with the way they look, so I feel you should respect and admire the fact she's different. You don't know how lucky you are to have a woman that doesn't take forever to get ready in the morning, and doesn't complain about how she's "ugly" or compare herself to other women.

Older men stare at my legs

Dear Diana,

I'm 15. Older men are looking at my legs and smiling at me. Not the friendly, polite smile but a sinister, perverted smile. This started happening when my mom said that I should be more girlie. Should I tell those guys to stop looking at my legs and tell my parents or keep quiet about this because I haven't told my folks yet?

Dear Friend,
Some things are just wrong and you have to keep your parents in the know. Unfortunately, some older men are hardwired this way. If they get creepy and don't stop staring, go up and slap them and create a scene. If the unwanted attention is from older guys you know, tell your parents. And always carry a pepper spray along.

Do girls like 'bad boys'?

Dear Diana,

I'm 16, have never had a girlfriend and am still looking. But I heard girls like "bad boys". I'm a sweetheart and I do have confidence and am not a pushover. I am responsible and I would protect my girlfriend from any harm. People say I'm a good kid, I can stand up for myself. I do have a good a sense of humour. I just don't want girls to think I'm boring.

Dear Friend,

It's more the ability of being a bad boy than the actual act of being one. A girl has to konw that you have the strength to stand up for her when needed and the self-respect to leave her if she does not respect you (after all, no one likes a doormat, and love means more when it's from a person who chooses you rather than one who doesn't have the guts to find it anywhere else).
