The Last Apple is a film on Syria and the atrocities on women in that part of the world. Recently, the issue has also received global attention; in the meanwhile, Aneek Chaudhuri directed this film featuring Usha Banerjee.

The film has got nominations in Rome, Venezuela, Prague to name a few. The Last Apple is produced by Rajib Ball from Australia.

On this film, the director says, "Being a filmmaker means you are endowed upon with a lot of responsibilities. This is a story that has been not very much spoken about in films, if we specify Syria. Moreover, the place has witnessed immense destruction in the present day context and this issue of rape is something to be thoroughly criticized and looked after."
The film is of 24 minutes duration and is seeking global attention. The director adds, "The Last Apple seeks attention from a wide spectrum of stakeholders which includes people in organizations that work for woman justice. This film is not merely to represent itself in film festivals; we are targeting to echo our voice at global platforms."
Usha Banerjee, the female protagonist (and the sole actor) has been nominated for 'Best Actress' in Rome and Pondicherry. Her performance has been appreciated too for being 'engaging and thought-provoking'.
The film will be released after it completes its round of festival turns.
