1. A mid-day recognition for this special category. What does it mean to you?


We are grateful and elated that Mid-Day has deemed us worthy of being the  ‘Iconic Luxury Resort’, and it feels special to be bestowed with this award, which is a testimony to our commitment to offer only the best of stay experiences to our guests.



 


2. What do you think are the redeeming features of your services that sets you apart from the rest?

Della Resorts is a pioneer as India’s first experiential hospitality capital. It has been conceptualized, designed, and created by Mr. Jimmy Mistry, Designer and Social Entrepreneur. The sprawling resort is a luxurious getaway destination, offering an exquisite stay experience at each of its 6 Resorts with breathtaking views, exquisite hospitality, intricate design details, and state-of-the-art amenities. It is the only Resort which offers a 24 hr- Spa, Salon, Swimming pool, fitness centre, 6 multi cuisine restaurants and India’s first extreme adventure park to our guests, along with a range of newly curated 50 + experiences which ensure that guests leave us with memories that last a lifetime while also providing them countless reasons to return. 

 

3. The Pandemic situation was a blow on the travel and hospitality services. How did you manage to stay afloat?

The ongoing pandemic did put a temporary slowdown but has not been able to dampen the will to provide finest experiences to guests. We utilized this period to reinvent our offerings and introduced additional exciting projects and experiences. Also, continual upgraded training was provided to employees which kept their motivational levels charged up.  The response from travelers has been overwhelming and encouraging. 

 

4. What have been the challenges and triumphs (if any) that the Pandemic has posed for your sector which according to you will have a lasting effect?

The entire hospitality sector has been affected by the pandemic adversely and Jimmy Mistry believes that each organization needs to introspect and focus on their core competencies to sustain in the long term. With the pandemic, international travel and events were muted,  and the WFH culture became the norm. This initiated a new segment of inbound tourism that was looking for similar international experience at a driving distance from their homes. We were able to capitalize on this new demand as for Della Resorts, “Experiential Hospitality” is the ethos and the same is translated into distinctly different offerings, each of which leaves a lasting impression on the guests.

 

5. Do you think you have achieved your vision or are there more to achieve—your future goals?

As a hospitality enterprise, Della Resorts has been at the foremost of varied pioneering concepts, right from an interesting combination of Luxurious Resorts coupled with extreme adventure activities, to initiating “Military Tourism” in the country in the form of DATA Resort to curating more than 50+ varied experiences for guests under one Resort. Currently, we are looking to take our brand of hospitality to other cities in the country and globally through management contracts, Joint Ventures, and collaborations.
