Lyricist Tariq Faiz composes ‘Khoon Jism Me Bahey’, a song on menstruation

Music is known to be a relief for the soul as it conveys thoughts that at times words fail to. Motifs that carry a deeper meaning have always been acknowledged than any other musical piece. Understanding the same, Tarique Mohammed aka Tariq Faiz, a singer, composer, poet and lyricist penned an intriguing song, ‘Khoon Jism Me Bahey’, based on menstruation, sung by Rasika Borkar and Krutika Borkar.


 



The song being one of its kind garnered appreciation from thousands. Devendra Fadnavis, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, formally introduced the song. It was a great honour for him and his family, as his parents understood he'd made the proper decision. And was also awarded by Ex Guardian Minister, Dr Ranjeet Patil Sir.

Channeling his inner vocalist


 

Hailing from Akola, Maharashtra Tariq is an MBBS student at Index Medical College in Indore who also happens to be a fantastic vocalist. When he first heard "Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahab" in 2007, his love for music blossomed. In 2009, he began practising Indian Classical Music from the Patiala Gharana, and he is still learning today.


His folks, similar to some other guardians, needed him to seek after a profession in the clinical field as opposed to singing. That is the reason he was admitted into clinical school, however he didn't abandon his desires.

 

He was lucky to have a companion and sibling, "Ramiz Faiz," who is a Master of Tabla and a Great Music Composer, who assisted him with learning and planning pieces along his excursion. He practiced for around 8-10 hours daily on account of his companion's help.

 

He learned the knack of music from Dr. Niraj Lande, a fine Indian Classical vocalist from Patiala Gharana as well as from Dagar Gharana, Disciple of Legendary Ustad Sayiduddeen Dagar Sahab.


Grabbing life’s golden opportunities

 

During his appearances, he met Aftab Qadri Sahab, a fine artist who gave him a great stage and invited him to perform alongside him all across India. In 2012, he began touring India and abroad, presenting Sufi music.

Because of this chance, he had the option to perform close by legend Rahat Indori Sahab. On his birthday, February tenth, 2019, he had the inconceivable chance to impart the stage to the acclaimed Kumar Vishwas Sahab.

 

In 2020, he composed a portrayal for a Short Film, “Khanabadosh” in the India Film Project Festival. Because of his incredible endeavors, the film got Selected in the main 100 and was likewise included on MTV. The film was directed by Ajinkya Patil, a director with a knack of creativity from Akola.

 

Tariq Faiz has extraordinarily enthusiastic singing in his excursion, one that can be taken to better places with different states of mind and crowds again and over once more.
