Have you ever wondered what it takes to work with celebrity clients? Kristina Nazaryan can tell you all about it, having worked with several A-list celebrities. One thing you will need to quickly pick up on is an understanding of luxury and keeping up with trends. And this is especially crucial in Kristina’s line of work.

Kristina Nazaryan is a celebrity makeup artist. She is also the founder and CEO of I Luv Me VIP Beauty Service. Kristina completed a bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Service in 2012 and then went back to pursue a beauty/ HD/ backstage/ editorial makeup course in UAE. This became the foundation of her career in the beauty industry.

Over the span of her career, Kristina Nazaryan has worked with international celebrities like Princess Beatrice, Nicole Scherzinger, and Gina Torres, among others. In addition to this, she has worked for magazine covers such as Harper’s Bazaar the Middle East, Villa 88, and more. Her expansive portfolio also includes working as a makeup artist with royal families of UAE since 2016. All this experience culminated in her creating her own VIP beauty service company.

So, what does it take to work with top celebrities? Kristina recommends, first and foremost, that you maintain professionalism at all times. Whether you’re meeting your ultimate idol or not, you cannot act like a fangirl or fanboy; you need to be professional and put work first. Secondly, Kristina says that maintaining client privacy is incredibly important. The ability to maintain privacy is the no.1 quality that anyone working with a celebrity should possess. Finally, you need to protect the clients’ best interests at all times.

Learning to accommodate the clients’ requests is another quality that you must possess. It is essential that you are adaptable and flexible and can deliver results both independently and within a team. “Talk the client through what you’re doing; in the case of makeup, explain the look you are going for and get input from them. This helps strengthen your relationship,” suggests Kristina Nazaryan. “Remember, if a celebrity is not happy or confident in their look, it will show and ripple back on you.”

Kristina also emphasizes the importance of being moderate. Do not overdo to try and impress the celebrity. She points out the importance of overdelivering but not overdoing it. “Exceed their expectations! With this in mind, remember not to make unrealistic promises while you’re at it,” she says.

Working with celebrity clients also takes a lot of discipline and focus. When you’re a celebrity makeup artist, your work will be judged by thousands, if not millions. Therefore, it is paramount that you develop a style that is unique and stands out.

Working with celebrity clients is no walk in the park. While many are deluded into thinking it is the ideal job, Kristina suggests that there is a lot of hard work that goes behind the glam you see on television screens.

Kristina Nazaryan’s experience with celebrities has helped shape the course of her business. It has helped her hone in on her skills and stay on top of trends.
