Farming is more of a traditional occupation that has many people have followed since immemorable times. For getting early yields and abundant produce, several farmers have been using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and hormone applications. Many of them are unaware of the damage they cause to the environment as well as themselves. However, awareness among farmers is increasing and they are now moving towards the organic farming route. Swapnil Shrivastava is one entrepreneur who has been helping farmers in adopting these new yet beneficial methods.

Swapnil Shrivastava is a 26-year-old entrepreneur who ventured into organic farming intending to help the local farmers in Madhya Pradesh. He is a certified entrepreneur and has completed Masters in Entrepreneurship from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. He is the founder of a well-known startup called ‘Organic Madhya Pradesh’ which has received recognition from the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Organic Madhya Pradesh is essentially a startup that acts as a one-stop solution for organic farming. The startup has earned a reputation in the field of organic farming owing to its legacy of service and innovation, and ability to deliver fresh farm produce with passion. The startup promotes organic farming with the use of AI technology for growing, nourishing, picking, and processing the best crops. Owing to its uniqueness, the startup was selected in the Vibrant Gujrat Summit held in Ahmedabad and was awarded a place in the top 10 startups in India in the Agri sector. Organic Madhya Pradesh was also selected in National Agripreneur Summit held in Delhi and Bhopal.

Apart from these accolades to their name, Swapnil’s startup also provides support to the state government’s ‘Double Your Income’ program. Organic Madhya Pradesh has plans to generate employment opportunities for 250 people in the next 5 years. They also intend to make all young farmers within the state agripreneurs in the future. Currently, they have set a short-term goal of transforming 1000 young farmers into agripreneurs. All of this will be done with one objective in mind – to transform Madhya Pradesh into an organic farming state by 2040. This is because through organic farming people get access to food that is free from chemicals and it doesn’t affect their health by making them ill.

Swapnil himself has received several awards for his agricultural startups such as the National Krishi Bhushan Award, National Krishi Manthan Award, and Visionary Founder of Organic Madhya Pradesh. Other than Organic Madhya Pradesh, he is also the co-founder of 'Rise Hydroponics'. Rise Hydroponics deals with skipping soil and growing plants in a nutrient-rich solution to reap rich yields. It provides soilless farming solutions and is involved in establishing both outdoor and indoor hydroponics farm projects.

As an entrepreneur, Swapnil has established several companies of his own such as Swapnil Corporation, Digi999 which is a digital marketing company, and Jail Kamaal. At present, he is working as the state president of Rashtriya Hindu Sangh and state vice-president of the International Human Rights and Social Justice Organization in Madhya Pradesh.
