The remastered version of Dragons Dogma makes killing monsters more fun
Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen was a groundbreaking RPG in 2013. It had a massive open world, a good party system and superb combat. Capcom has remastered the game and it is still a lot of fun, though some of the graphics may seem outdated.

The game starts off with a bit of a show, where you take control of an arisen knight on his way to fight a dragon. Flash forward and the actual game begins – you start with creating a character and then you live out the initial cutscene, where a dragon attacks your village and you take up arms to defeat it. You get defeated, but not before landing a hit. Impressed the dragon doesn't kill you, instead takes your heart. Once you wake up, the dragon urges you to take up arms to get stronger, so you can defeat him.
Capcom has a done a good job of updating everything and even though in several places, it does look old, you will barely notice because of all the fun you are having killing off monsters. The combat is fast and smooth, but learning the controls properly takes time.
Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen still holds its ground despite being almost four years old. A definite must get if you haven't played the game before, especially if you love RPGs.
