Hard core comic fans might not appreciate this change: the Mumbai edition of Comic Con this year has been converted to Mumbai Film and Comic Con, with films playing a major part of the convention. So, if you’re in the mood to costume play at the venue (it’s common to sport your favourite cartoon/comic character’s costume at comic cons), you can arrive as Joker or Gabbar.

“Internationally, films and television play a big part at a Comic Con, especially in the US, and as compared to other venues in India, it’s easier to incorporate films in the Mumbai edition. This doesn’t mean there are lesser comics. In fact, it’s bigger this year, on the same scale as our Delhi event with more booths, artists and participants,” shares Jatin Varma, founder of Comic Con India.
