Followers of Western Classical Music have reason to smile. March 30 and 31 will witnessu00a0 some of the leading names from Florence join one of Mumbai's favourite sons, Zubin Mehta, while he conducts the Orchestra of The Maggio Musicale, Fiorentino.u00a0

Organised by the Mehli Mehta Foundation, the concerts will feature violinists Arabella Steinbacher and world renowned tenor Fabio Satori. The programme for the first concert will include works by Verdi, Tchaikovsky and Mahler while the second will include Mozart, Verdi, Puccini and Bartok. The city had last played stage to Zubin Mehta in 2009.
