New Delhi: After making a significant presence in the Indian smartphone market, Chinese gadget manufacturer Xiaomi has launched Mi Pad at Rs 12,999 to mark a blasting debut into nation's tablet market.

The Mi Pad sports a 7.9-inch IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3. The tablet is powered by a 2.2Ghz quad core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, GeForce Kepler GPU (with 192 cores) backed by 2GB RAM.
The tablet features a 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card. The device gets its power from a 6,700mAh battery. The Mi Pad sports a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.
Xiaomi also launched its much awaited Redmi 2 at Rs 6,999 in India.
Redmi 2 sports a 4.7-inch IPS HD display and is clocked at 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor.
Xiaomi Redmi 2 will run on Android 4.4-based MIUI 6.0 software while the Redmi 1S runs on the Android 4.3-based MIUI 5.0 custom skin.
On the memory front, 8GB internal storage which is expandable through microSD card up to 32GB complimented by 1GB worth of RAM and connectivity options.
Redmi 2 gets an upgraded 2-megapixel camera and measures 9.2mm and weighs 134grams. The battery has been modified and fueling the smartphone's operations is 2,200mAh for enhanced usage.
