WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in the iOS version, where users can send and receive animated GIFs, including Live Photos and shorter videos. According to Techcruch, an integrated GIF search engine has also been added.
Users can now search through GIFs that are available and share them and even mark as Favourites.
A video should be 6 seconds or shorter to be sent as a GIF file, whereas a Live Photo can be sent using the 3D Touch feature from the "Attach" interface, from where users can choose the "Select as GIF" option.
This is a new app update from iTunes.
