For central suburbanites who dig a good tipple and love their music, Mulund's newly-opened Waters Pub and Grill might be a great place to drop by once, provided the owners sort out a few teething problems
When it comes to guzzling a lager in a groovy set-up, Mulund might not sound like the most sought-after destination, right? Wrong. So, when the signboard for Waters Pub and Grill came to life on LBS Road, this Mulund resident upped her hopes with the prospect of a new watering hole.

The owners have made an effort to create a vibrant ambiance, complete with a few abstract metal hangings propped from the ceiling, an in-house DJ as well as wall art of popular bands; importantly, their menu, which mainly comprises finger food, ensured it made for a complete package.
The cocktail names range from the populist (Bob Marley) to the outrageous (Blow Job). We succumbed and asked for Brain Hamarage (Haemorrhage, perhaps?; Rs 310) and B-53 (Rs 400) as well as an Emerald Forest mocktail. The cocktails were served in shot glasses so if you are thinking of quantity, better order the classic cocktails.
The Brain Hamarage was a puzzling mix of sweet and spice with Peach Schnapps and Tabasco while the B-53 might be a hit with Kahlua-lovers. We’ll surely return just for the Emerald Forest, which was a tasty mix of litchi and guava and worked great. The Paneer Tikka Lababdar Sandwich (Rs 130) was another hit. The Beer Batter Butterfly Prawn (Rs 270) tasted yum but we noticed one portion that wasn’t de-veined.
Next, we opted for the Mexican Chicken Pizza (Rs 210) and Vegetable Pepper Steak (Rs 180). The pizza toppings were generous though the base wasn’t crisp to handle the load. The Vegetable Steak (Rs 180) can be skipped -- the steak tasted more like an oversized aloo tikki and the very salty sauce didn’t help matters. We believe that the good pricing and location can work in its favour, all it has to do is to sort out issues in the kitchen.
