Remember the time of the cheap plastic watch in fluorescent colours, including pink, yellow and green? That time is now. Ditch your old-fashioned metallic-strap watch for silicone, rubber or plastic straps available in bright candy colours, as well as black and white.

Amitabh Bachchan: Twice as nice Someone who has always been

Sr Bachchan sported two watches on the same wrist in the movie,
Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, in which he also wore plastic and rubber
watches in red, yellow and blue.

u00a0Famous wrists spotted wearing the hot new trend include pop star Katy Perry - known for her eclectic and 'pop'-inspired dressing, actress Scarlett Johansson, who teamed it with shorts and a strappy top, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, and singers Lily Allen and Kanye West, who was 'man' enough to sport a pink one! US First Lady Michelle Obama too was spotted wearing a bright purple watch.
B-Town isn't too far behind either, with none other than Amitabh Bachchan wearing not one, but two watches on the same wrist, in his most recent release, Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap.
Stylist Leepakshi Ellawadi, who styled Bachchan's look in the film says, "Mr Bachchan's character in the movie was such that we could use colour and go a bit over-the-top. He was very excited about the use of colour and carried off the watches well," she says, adding, "We did our shopping in London and Paris and considering that trends take six to ten months to reach India from these places, our choice of watches paid off seeing that these colourful ones are popular now."
