The return of Pink Panther

All he did was make an appearance in the title theme.

But the adorable trouble-making panther sporting a shade of one of the most atrocious shades of pink was loved the world over. Initially released in 1963 in a few countries, The Pink Panther film series celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

What gave the movie cult status was its straight-faced humour mixed with slapstick comedy, thanks to the accidents of Inspector Jacques Clouseau. While a good eleven films have released till date as a part of the series, Peter Sellers is remembered the most for his portrayal of Clouseau but, so are the animated title credits set to the theme composed by Henry Mancini.
