If you want to pamper your inner child, head to the Filmi Chashma Children's Film Festival at National Film Archive of India. The festival will be held between May 13 and 15 and registrations for the event kickstarted from the first week of May. Though the fest is purely for children, an adult member is allowed to accompany the youngest group.

The festival had been designed keeping in mind the diverse interests of children belonging to different age groups. Children will get to watch films and learn the techniques and nitty-gritties through experts who will speak to them about this particular medium.

According to Prashant Pathrabe, Director, NFAI, the festival will be a mixture of various genres starting from action to animation and entertainment. These films have been picked from various countries and also from the Children's Film Society. "There will be Indian folk tales and music as well as friction," added Pathrabe.u00a0

Among the films that will be screened, watch out for Krish Trish and Baltiboy, a story about a monkey named Krish, a cat named Trish and a donkey named Baltiboy. Lilkee is the story of a 10 year-old domestic help from Nainital who is brought to Mumbai by a young architect and finds it difficult to adjust. Please Vote for Me is a Chinese film made by Weijun Chen in 2007.

There will be two shorts film as well -- Khel Khel Mein and Jhat Pat Ghich Pich -- made by two young filmmakers Mahima Kaur and Varun Halder. The films are divided between three age groups - from one to eight, 9 to 12 years and 13 to 16 years. The event has been co-organised by Comet Media, an NGO interested in promoting this activity thoughout the country.
