New Delhi: American tech giant Microsoft is all set to launch its dual-sim Windows Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL smartphones in the Indian market on Tuesday.

The company has reportedly sent out invites for an event which is scheduled for Tuesday, which will also be the platform for the launch of the two smartphones although the company hasn't mentioned anything regarding the unveiling on the invite. The tagline reads as 'inspiration doesn't only work 9 to 5' which might be a hint for something new.
The Lumia 640 features 5.0 inches IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The device is clocked at Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 paired with Adreno 305, the processor is coupled with 1 GB worth of RAM. It runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim.
It gets an 8MP camera on the rear surface and sports a 1MP camera on its front surface for selfie enthusiasts. Fueling its operations is a Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery for long lasting usage. The Lumia 640 is available in Glossy cyan, Orange, White and Matte black colour variants. It is in-built with 8GB of internal memory (30 GB free OneDrive and micro SD support up to 128 GB). The Lumia 640XL sports 5.7 inches IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The handset comes fitted with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 coupled with Adreno 305 along with 1GB RAM.
The new Lumia smartphone gets 8GB internal memory storage capacity which can be expanded up to 128 GB. The rear surface flaunts a 13MP camera with LED flash and the front gets 5MP camera. Akin to Lumia 640, Lumia 640XL also runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. The handset is packed with Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery to support the operations effectively.
Lumia 640XL can be bought in Matte cyan, Orange, Black, Matte white and Glossy white colourv ariants.
We can also expect the LTE version of the phones to come out soon as the company had already listed them on its website.
