Tata Motors-owned British marque Jaguar Land Rover has launched the locally manufactured second-generation XF in the country at Rs 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Jaguar had launched the all-new XF last year in September at Rs 49.5 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi); local manufacturing has helped it slash the prices by as much as Rs 2 lakh.
The automaker has begun accepting bookings for the locally manufactured XF from today and you can book the sedan from Jaguar Land Rover’s 24 authorised retail outlets or through its online portals, which were introduced just after the launch of the all-new XF last year.
Mechanically, the Jaguar XF comes with a choice of a petrol and a diesel engine. The 2.0-litre all-aluminium diesel from Jaguar's new 'Ingenium' series of engines produces 180PS of power and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol, on the other hand, puts out 240PS of power and 340Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic. The XF competes with sedans such as the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E Class and the Volvo S90.
