On the lines of Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, publisher Square Enix has launched Deus Ex Go. The game like, previous Go games, is a puzzler and as with both franchises, this one stays true to the capabilities of the protagonist Adam Jensen. Through the levels you will use a combination of combat, hacking and augmentations to complete increasingly complicated puzzles.
Solving a puzzle in Deus Ex Go is incredibly satisfying. At the harder levels there is a lot of trial and error but the effort pays off. This game is hard to let go of as you want to keep moving on to the next level. The puzzles are part of a single mission and once you are done with those, the game offers a set of weekly puzzles with five levels each. While the Hitman version had several options to finish a level, Deus Ex Go is very limited, rendering it less re-playable.
The story is minimalistic and does not offer any emotional connect to the game. If the puzzles weren’t this much fun, we would have probably given it a bad rating. As far as the GO franchise is concerned, Deus Ex is still not at par with the other two, but it is worth paying for since you know there are new levels every week.
