While most of us brew coffee to enjoy a steaming cuppa over conversation, Bangalore-based artist Jayanthi Goyal has other ideas. She prefers to use coffee to create her unique collection of paintings. Marketed under her brand name Janthe, she uses coffee decoction as the medium to create art in shades of brown. Art has always been a part of Jayanthi's life, but it's only in 2010 that she converted her hobby into a boutique called Janthe Arts and Crafts.

While Jayanthi can work wonders with paint, her passion is coffee and paper. She has also mastered the art of quilling (called paper filigree, this art form uses paper strips that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs) which she learnt four years ago with the help of research from books.

What's on sale?

She has experimented with quillwork on various mediums including glass, wood, canvas and straw to create photo frames, watches, candles and earrings.
