Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has launched its M2017 premium smartphone for a price as high as CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 68,400) in China. As of now, Gionee has not disclosed if the new phone will be available in any other countries or will stay confined to China. Another version of the phone which comes with an Italian custom alligator leather back panel is tagged for CNY 16,999 (approximately Rs. 1,66,000). The M2017 smartphone is already up for pre-orders in China.
The most interesting feature of Gionee M2017 is its battery capacity. It has two comes with two 3500mAh batteries inside, which sums up to a capacity of 7000mAh. The company claimed that the smartphone gives a video playback time of up to 25.89 hours. It also gives a standby time of 915.42 hours.
Other specifications of the phone include dual SIM sockets, 5.7-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) Amoled display with curved edges and sapphire glass, cta-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653, 6GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Interestingly, the phone has dual-camera setup (12-megapixel + 13-megapixel) rear camera and 8-megapixel camera front camera. It has an internal storage capacity of inbuilt storage of 128GB.

Connectivity options of the phone include 4G, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. As of now, the smartphone is available in Black and Gold colour variant.
