Huawei revealed its latest Mate 9 smartphone at the recent CES 2017 press event. It is available for sale in USA from Friday. The most striking feature of the phone is the pre-installed voice-interactive app that will give users to access Amazon’s Alexa.
Huawei has stated that Alexa will give the smartphone users 'a natural, convenient user interface' to fetch information or perform tasks. Those who have already purchased the device will get an OTA update for the same. Huawei also revealed that they are collaborating with Amazon to 'develop a rich voice activated consumer experience'.
Zhendong Zhu, President, Huawei Device USA in a press statement said that response to Huawei Mate 9 has been extremely positive with numerous industry awards and accolades. The phone along with Porsche Design Mate 9 will gradually support Google Daydream. Currently, Google Pixel and Moto Z are Daydream enabled smartphones.
