The Master of the Reeds is a concert bringing together the talents of veteran flautist Pt Ronu Majumdar, saxophonist George Brooks, Dr Narasimhalu Vadavati on clarinet and Ned McGowan on the English flute. 
who will be mixing Contemporary Jazz with Indian Classical music
Accompanying them will be Ramdas Palsule on Tabla, Rajesh Rajbhatt on Pakhawaj and Kathak dancer Shreya Sabharwal.

"The idea of bringing wind instruments together is unique," says Ronu Majumdar who has conceptualised the show along with organisers Neeru Sabharwal and Vineeta Sinha.
Exciting collaboration
"I am very excited about the outcome of our collaboration.u00a0 George Brooks, who is from San Francisco, has been exposed to Indian music because of his previous collaborations with Zakir Hussain. He will be mixing Contemporary Jazz and Blues in the performance."
Another well-known musician is flautist Ned McGowan from Holland who will accompany Majumdar on the Bansuri. McGowan, who is known for his solos, has also studied Carnatic music.
Majumdar will add to the performance with his Indian Classical renditions, as well as a bit of Bengali Folk and Marathi Natya Sangeet. Dr Narasimhalu Vadavati, who is known for playing Indian Classical music on the clarinet completes the list of Masters of the Reed.
"We will also be playing Dance with the Wind, which would be incomplete without an actual dance performance. That's where Shreya Sabharwal comes in," signs off Majumdar.
