Many of us have been in situations where we find ourselves either rushing at the last minute to our bills or end up paying a late fee because we didn’t remember the due date. Now, keeping that in mind, Indian payment gateway, Citrus, on today, unveiled a new payment manager app, Citrus Cube, one that lets you plan and manage bills even when you are offline.

Though, you will need an active Internet connection to make payments, you may not have to worry about the same as long as its about managing your bills on the move. So, whether you are traveling on the local train, through a remote location, or on a flight without any Internet connection, you can still manage your bills.

The app, currently available for both Android as well as iOS devices, allows one to add billers like mobile phone bill, DTH connection, Internet bill, Credit Card, etc, as well as expenses such as payments towards maid, monthly ration, vegetables, rent, etc, and stay informed about their due dates. Just add these recurring expenses in to the app once, and the app will remind you every month before the payment date is over. And considering Citrus is a payment gateway itself (trusted by over 25,000 merchant establishments and online portals including Amazon India), you can also save your debit and credit cards and make the payments instantly via the app. And if you are too busy to pay your bills, you can share the bill details with your partner or friends too (currently limited via SMS).

The app also comes with in-built charts and graphs to help you keep a track on your bills, and get an overall idea about your expenses without having to do tonnes of calculation.

The app makers are planning to add several new features in the future including a digital wallet, Citrus Cash, which would allow users to transfer money to friends via the app as well as pay bills using the digital currency.

Note: While you can update details offline, the app requires an active Internet connection to pay bills or make transactions.
