Samalkha University recently organised a concert for students to spread the message of anti-ragging. Rock bands like Agnee, Parikrama and Bollywood singers like Shilpa Rao and Aditi Sharma set the stage on fire with a strong message to the youth on the theme 'Let's be friends-say no to ragging'.

Students in large numbers were present at the concert, rocking along with the performers. They pledged not to practice ragging and to welcome their juniors on a friendly and harmonious note. The performers also shared stories of their tryst with ragging in their days.

"I was an MBA student, but I was lucky, as ragging did not have such dangerous dimensions those days. It feels nice to be here and spread the message to the young adults," said lead vocalist, K Mohan, Agnee.
Speaking on the issue, Ajay Goyal, chairman, Samalkha Group of Institutions, said, "Ragging is a serious issue which still nags college freshers and their parents. We encourage friendship based activities on the campus to promote healthy relationship among students.

It is our responsibility to see that the children study in a healthy environment, and that there is good interaction between seniors and juniors. We see to it that strict action is taken against those trying to create problems for the innocent." Wrapping up the concert, the band members ended the show with the university's anti-ragging anthem, which was composed by the students.
