Dear Diana,
I am 30 and teach geography in school. I find myself attracted to one of my students. She is 15 years old and is in Class 10. She looks much older than the other students. I used to teach her last year in class nine briefly when one of the teachers had taken ill. I have been attracted to her ever since. As she is in the final year of school, things are getting worse for me. I keep thinking about her all day as I will not get to see her next year. Presently, we are having a class 10 vacation batch going on, so I just can't keep my eyes off her in class. She is of a cheerful disposition. I feel she looks extremely pretty. She calls me 'sir' and when she asks me questions, I have this urge to ask her out. But I am too scared. I know she is in her final year of school and needs to concentrate on her studies for the board exams. How do I get her off my mind?

Dear Rishabh,
You are attracted to a girl who is half your age. The worst thing you could do is to tell her about your feelings. She has a board exam coming up, so it's crucial that she concentrates on her studies. From the looks of it, the girl has no clue what is going on in your mind. You are attracted to her, but that's all. There can be no headway in it — at least not now. Your attraction may be natural, but don't act on it. If it's that tough for you to get her out of your mind, see if you can teach another class instead. This is her last academic term and she will soon finish school, then perhaps you will forget her. Also, if the school management finds out, you will be in deep trouble and might lose your job, so let her remain in your thoughts.
