Dear Diana,
I’m 19 and studying in college, I’m an uneventful person with nothing special about me. But I’ve found something someone, actually to be precise interesting. He’s too cute to be overlooked and he teaches us economics and is in his 30s. I don’t know why, but I feel like I’ve found my first love. I know he’s single. He keeps looking at me while lecturing in class.

Dear Madhurima,
Getting infatuated with a teacher is a common phenomenon. An older guy seems great they are independent and seem to be really caring. Even if you think he is your first love, it certainly won’t be your last. Also, you feel he looks at you during class. If you look around you will realise that during the lecture, he looks at all the students. You have never even spoken to him nor do you know if he is interested in you. I am sure you will wear off your infatuation when your academic year ends and you find yourself in a new class with new professors.
Dear Diana,
I’m 15 and recently appeared for my SSC exams. My parents can’t stand each other and have been fighting for a while. The only reason they haven’t gone their separate ways is me, but I don’t want them to lead an unhappy life because of me. At the same time, I don’t know how to tell them that it’d be okay to not think of me and of themselves for a change.

Dear Rehana,
As parents they are programmed to put your interests before theirs. You should tell them that your happiness lies in their happiness. As you were appearing for a board exam, they did not want anything to affect you. You seem to be a person mature beyond your age. Tell your parents that instead of living in misery, it is better they go their ways while you will have to spend time with both.
