Dear Diana
I knew this guy for about four years. Last year, we spoke about taking the relationship to the next level. We had begun planning a future together, but things went wrong and we ended up breaking up last month. I was devastated. I did not see it coming, but my guy was two-timing me with another girl.

I was shocked by his behaviour. On confronting him he said things just happened and one thing led to another. Though he has left me heartbroken, I can’t move on and forget him. I am still in love with him. I just cannot move on. The worse part is that he is enjoying himself with this new girl while I am hurting and crying. What should I do? How do I move on and begin life anew?

Dear Deveena
This guy has cheated on you. He has hurt you and left you humiliated. So you need to get him out of your head. As it came as a shock to you, you need time to get over him. You did not seek closure, so it will take long for you to forget him. If only he had sat down and told you what was going on.
But he did not have the courtesy to tell you the truth. You were a fool to believe him. You trusted him blindly and were so in love with him that you did not know what was going on. The next time you harbour thoughts about him, just tell yourself that he was a jerk not worthy of your love.
Keep yourself busy in order to keep any thoughts about him at bay. Indulge in stuff like hobbies or anything that you were not able to do while in a relationship. You need to start enjoying your life to get over your ex. There is no need to shed tears for him. He did not deserve your love. No doubt heartbreak takes time to heal. But you need to get over him and only then will you feel better.
