I recently turned 35 and have done all I can to find a soulmate. I even registered at matrimonial sites. Not only that, I even attended hobby classes and joined singles groups in the hope that I might bump into someone interesting enough to take interest in me. Things however did not move after the first meeting. I really do not know what is wrong with me? Why am I still single? It’s kind of getting frustrating now.

Dear Sarmit,
You have to first find out what is holding you back. Have you ever wondered why things don’t progress after the first meeting? May be you are putting the woman off by your obnoxious behaviour. Perhaps you are scared to take the first step. Or you are commitment phobic? It appears that you are seeing your single status as a problem — and that’s a mental block. Do you lack confidence to talk to someone? You also need to stop being the victim and don’t go with an agenda — learn to be yourself.
