Use the following ingredients for the dish: Oats 250 gm, Rawa 125 gm, Curd 100 gm, salt to taste, Green peas 20 gm, carrot 50 gm, chopped coriander 5 gm, chopped green chillies 4 nos. Once you get the ingredients ready, use vegetable oil 30 ml, chana dal 20 gm, mustard seeds 5 gm, chopped green chilly 2 nos, for the tadka. Image for representational purposes only. Photo: Istock
Roast oats in a pan till it is slightly brown in colour and grind it to powder Roast rawa also till it is slightly brown and add coriander for the tadka. Heat oil in pan and add mustard seed to it. Once seeds start to sputter, add chana dal and cook it till it is golden brown in colour and then add green chillies in end. Add vegetables and cook it. Image for representational purposes only. In a mixing bowl mix oats powder, roasted rawa, curd and add 500 ml water, cooked vegetables and mix it well. Leave the batter for 30 minutes for fermentation. Image for representational purposes only. Photo: Istock
Grease the idli steamer with oil and steam the idli for 10 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the idli and check if it comes out clean that means they are cooked. Serve hot with sambhar and chutney. Image for representational purposes only. Photo: Istock
