“Terrorism is a threat that the whole world is grappling with and we have faced it too. As an advertising agency with a reach, we decided to speak out for peace,” says Manish Bhatt, founder director of Scarecrow the agency that is organising the exhibition, #ShatteredNotBroken, by photographer and advertising veteran Prashant Godbole.

Bhatt says that as an advertising agency they use their ability to reach out to a lot of people to spread awareness about causes. “It does not make sense for us to take initiatives to try and do things because NGOs do it better. We choose causes and get the word out on them. When organising an event like this exhibition, we want people living in different parts of the country to be able to feel its importance and get involved. If a person in Indore is moved enough by the campaign to donate a token amount, we will consider the campaign a success,” he says.

The idea for the exhibition emerged from the social media posts of Prashant Godbole. “We had known him to be an advertising veteran but recently we came across his photographs that he had shared on social media and they were brilliant. Though we worked for different agencies, we decided to put professional rivalries aside to work together for this cause and involved other organisations like Ketto.org (for contribution) too,” he says.
