DJ Shireen
Spinning since she was at college, Shireen considers herself old-school. "I use Pioneer CD players and mixers with a V Moda headphone. I carry my music in a USB, so it’s easier with the headgear," says Shireen, amused by how easy technological advancements have made life. "People who use laptops just click on sync and the tempo is set automatically."
Current favourite: Wild Thoughts (DJ Khaled), Sky by Alan Walker.

DJ Akhil Talreja
Inspired by the party scene in California, Talreja sticks to the basic DJ grammar of beat matching and looping. "I use a Pioneer CD player, where the Jog Dial helps me scratch, bend and release in Vinyl mode. I learnt on turntables, moved to Denons and now use this player." His mixer includes a mic input with separate EQs.
Current favourite: Tamma Tamma (Badrinath Ki Dulhania) and my latest release, Ek Dafaa.

DJ Clement
Spinning since 1995, veteran Clement has witnessed two eras of technological changes. "Going digital has helped DJs like myself and Akhtar, since we play different genres at the same time. We need to have a huge database," shares Clement. "I swear by Pioneer Nexus2. There is also Traktor and Serato," he adds.
Current favourite: Subeme La Radio (Enrique featuring Descemer Bueno, Zion and Lennox) and Let Me Love You (Shaggy).

DJ Akhtar
A leading name in dance music, Akhtar prefers open-air gigs. He says, "I use the newest series of Pioneer Nexus2 along with a host of controllers. Today, a DJ can easily modify his gear based on market research. They can also use single units to drum pads."
Current favourite: Despacito (Luis Fonsi feat Daddy Yankee).
