Strike a dialogue with a poet or immerse yourself in a fresh voice at the Artist Experience next week

It's surprising how words can be beautiful and powerful at the same time. Singaporean poet Nupur Saraswat will delve deeper into the power of the written word in the new edition of the Artist Experience.

Saraswat, 22, who is known for her electric energy on the international stage, will do a spoken word performance and also hold a Q&A session to encourage dialogue between the artist and the audience. Ayu Meutia, an Indonesian poet, will also be part of the panel.

For Saraswat, words are revolutionary. "Those who see the value of words and know how to use them, can and will always be the ones who bring about the change that we need in this society," she says. She will be performing a few pieces from her popular show, Two Sanskari Girls.

Rochelle D'silva, the organiser of the event, says that platforms like these help build a community of like-minded individuals. "Through the event, I hope to bring professional poets out of the YouTube space and introduce them to Mumbai," she says.
