The silly Suppandi, the accidental hunter Shikari Shambu and the devious Tantri the Mantri: these are characters close to the hearts of every Indian kid who thrived on the iconic Tinkle comics.

Fortunately for us, Tinkle is keeping the magic alive and reaching out to kids, this time in the form of a fun comic-making workshop.

Conducted by the art and editorial team of the magazine, it will help kids between the ages of six and 14 understand what goes into the creation of a comic book story.

“The session will be divided into two parts,” shares Savio Mascarenhas, the art director of Tinkle magazine. He elaborates, “In the first half, we’ll show the kids how to draw their own character, and in the second, we’ll take them through the basics of developing a story.”
