A shopping portal has launched a CEO hunt campaign where college students get to play its CEO for 15 days

If you’ve ever fancied being a corporate head honcho, here’s a golden opportunity to fulfill that dream. Online shopping portal, DesiDime.com has launched the Next CEO hunt campaign. Aimed at young college students, it will help them get first-hand experience of entrepreneurship by working as the CEO of the portal for 15 days. Twenty19, a student opportunity portal, powers the campaign.

The shortlisted candidate will work along with the CEO of Desidime.com and be involved in day-to-day decision-making. They will work as a management trainee for the remaining 15 days. The candidate will draw a salary of '7,000 at the month-end, along with a recommendation letter and work experience certificate.


Mehul Jobanputra, CEO and co-founder of DesiDime.com isn’t looking for candidates with specific qualifications. Rather he wants applicants with creative, analytical and problem-solving abilities. He/she can be an undergraduate or someone who has recently graduated.

All month long, the candidate will work like a CEO by taking strategic decisions, managing people, problem-solving, creating a marketing plan, supervising of operations processes and data analysis. Jobanputra is positive of its benefits: “In today’s competitive world, even a small error can send the company in downward spiral. We want aspiring entrepreneurs to learn through such opportunities.”
