Speaking about the event, Natasha Mohinani, trainer at the workshop, says, “Through writing exercises and techniques, we will teach the craft, offer insights about the participants and who they truly are, what they need to overcome to have a peaceful mind and be in perfect harmony with themselves. The aim is to achieve harmony with the self so that you can embrace and make the most of situations, opportunities and challenges.”
She adds that the workshop makes a person feel empowered and understand themselves better. “At a very young age, I started writing my problems in a diary and that helped me in understanding my problems and solving them faster. If you start writing, you develop a pattern and this helps you understand your problems and solve it,” she reminisces.
Essa Duhaime, who will be attending the workshop, states that it’s a new concept and she is very excited about it. “Every person has some or the other problem in his/her life. This will help them understand the problem first and then solve it.”
Mohinani points out that they maintain anonymity in the class. Students are encouraged to pick and tell a name based on the way they feel about themselves. During the whole class they are called by that name only. The sessions are attended by counsellors, housewives and teachers. One needs to be above 12 years of age and have basic writing skills. A maximum if 20 students will be admitted.
