As Pokémon Go fever ambushes Mumbai, here’s our pick of four Poké walks that every trainer cannot afford to miss
Pokemon Go
In the past week, small clusters of Pokémon Go fanatics — with their noses literally touching their smartphones — could be spotted at various places in the city, trying to “catch ’em all.” Now, with numerous organised Poké Walks scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, we’ve curated the top four walks, every aspiring gym trainer (for the uninitiated: people who capture, collect, and battle other Pokémon) must attend to build a strong and evolved inventory of Pokémon.

1. Pokéwalk Mumbai
With 16,000 Mumbaikars (on Facebook) interested in attending this one, this Pokéwalk will commence from Burger King outside Churchgate Station, and head towards Marine Drive in the search for rare Pokémon. The walk will also include activating lure models at specific Pokéstops to lure in more Pokémon. With SoBo being a naturally Pokémon-rich environment, it comes as no surprise that nearly 6,000 people have confirmed attending this walk.

2. PokéGo Bar Crawl
If there is one thing that Mumbaikars are notoriously famous for, it’s their ability to party late into the night. Now, what could be better than catching rare Pokémon with your borderline-drunk friends post midnight, while simultaneously bar hopping? Latenight Mumbai will be hosting a PokéGo Bar Crawl in Lower Parel — an event for which almost 5,000 people are ‘interested’ on Facebook. If you’re an aspiring Pokémon trainer who doesn’t mind getting a drink in the middle of battling and capturing other Pokémon, then you’re in for a treat.
