The dream of Prithviraj Kapoor will take a new flight, or a first international flight for that matter, as team Prithvi heads to Dubai for a festival, starting April 27, to showcase some of the highlights from theatre performed by the group.

In nearly four decades of its existence, the group, owned and run by the Prithviraj Kapoor Memorial Trust & Research Foundation, has performed in different cities across India with over 600 shows a year, becoming a centre for theatre in the country.
And this opportunity to take their endeavour overseas has Prithvi trustee Kunal Kapoor thrilled.
“Raging Tiger approached me with the idea of holding a Prithvi Festival in Dubai and showcasing some of our plays for the Dubai audience. I was naturally thrilled as it is an opportunity to expose a larger audience to our theatre grown out of Mumbai,” he said. He also informed that this is going to be an annual event.
The five-day festival will include performances and stage talks by Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Vinay Pathak, Sonali Kulkarni and Rajit Kapoor.
