Planning to throw or attend a Halloween party? We invited Mumbai Anime Club's Darren Andrade, who’s known to take costumes up a notch, to share a few tips, and haunts to source your costumes and props from
Anime Club
>> Take inspiration for your costumes from Indian comic books (graphic novel Aghori has several apt characters) and mythology characters.

>> We don’t get good wigs in the city. So rather buy a regular black or blonde wig and then style it according to your costume. If you wish to order online, Ali Express has great options from China, but they take a long time
to deliver.
>> Props are important too. At Anime Club, we make our own props. Suntex plastic, which one can buy at several hardware stores works as a good material to create props. Also, you can source waste wooden sticks from any carpenter’s workshop.
>> Make-up products can be bought from any cosmetic store in the city.
>> Zombies and ghosts (put a white bedsheet on) are the easiest costumes to dress in. Some red paint, slightly shredded, regular daily clothes, an amazingly grotesque expression and you’re set. Another easy option is to wrap gauze over yourself, and turn into a mummy. You can dip it in a yellowish shade for an ancient tinge.
