Debut solo exhibition
Shobha Mujumdar worked as a civil servant while pursuing her passion for art. Post 2005, she has devoted a lot of time to art and experimented with different media and techniques. She uses acrylics for creating geometric abstracts artwork. She is now out with her debut exhibition. Speaking about the show, she says, “I have showcased some of the manifestations of nature and the different forms, human and otherwise. Mankind continues to plunder the earth for its ulterior motives. But nature takes its revenge. The result is turmoil due to calamities. Yet, nature is resilient. In all its pervasiveness, it bounces back and regenerates itself restoring the balance. I have presented this thought through my paintings,”
