The actress revealed that she had initially tested for Bijli's part that was eventually played by Isha Talwar in the series by Homi Adajania.
The actress added that she begged the makers to let her audition for Kajal's role. "My audition went to Homi and they came back saying I could play Kajal. I was very happy about that. That's how it happened for me."
Speaking about working with Homi, the actress said, "No matter how much you prepare and work on your character when you are in the scene is when it all comes alive."
Angira added that she instantly connected with her character Kajal. "The moment I entered Kajal's room in the haveli, it felt so lived in and felt like I've been there before."
