The two-year-long wait has been testing the patience of people who loved Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Made in Heaven. The team was scheduled to kick-start the shoot for the second instalment in April 2020, but the pandemic played spoilsport and derailed the plans for a year-and-a-half.

Earlier this week, Akhtar and her team of co-directors and production unit landed in France to wrap-up an extensive, long-pending schedule. A source informs that the shoot for the Amazon Prime Video series will be canned in different locations within France. “Sobhita [Dhulipala] left for France on November 19. They will be shooting in Nice and Cannes, among other places, before returning to Mumbai. It’s a 21-day schedule for now, but the team is hoping to finish early with days to spare.”

The shoot will revolve around an elaborate destination wedding sequence organised by Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur’s characters. The second season will also feature Dia Mirza, Radhika Apte, Jacqueline Fernandez, Mrunal Thakur and Neelam Kothari in different episodes.
