For the promotional event, Varun, who is known for his chiseled body, transformed himself into a formal avatar. The 32-year-old actor opted for a white shirt, blue suit, and pants. We don't remember, the last time we saw him all suited and booted. Can you recall it for us?
Giving him great company was Shraddha Kapoor. The actress donned a black jumpsuit with some lovely prints.
Also joining the duo was singer Dhvani Bhanushali. The Dilbar singer graced the photographers donning a black dotted off-shoulder top and white shorts.
Varun and Shraddha reunite after five years. They were last seen working together in ABCD 2 as a team to win the dance trophy. However, in Street Dancer, they will find themselves on the opposite side this time as the hero is from India and the heroine from Pakistan.
Street Dancer 3D has been a physically taxing and challenging film for the actors. What's makes the film more interesting is the presence of Prabhudeva in the same frame. Prabhudeva has been part of director Remo D'Souza's previous dance dramas, ABCD and ABCD 2. Won't it be interesting to see the trio again on the dance floor?
When the film is all about dance, how can Shraddha and Varun stop themselves from firing up the stage? The duo gave a fabulous dance performance on the stage that was well-received by all.
In an exclusive interview to mid-day, Varun had spoken about the efforts he took for ABCD 2. He said, "Since I am not a professional dancer, training with those who are is certainly difficult. While training for our last film, ABCD 2, Shraddha [Kapoor, co-star] and I were given a little extra hand-holding. But, for this film, from day one, we were not given [additional attention]."
He continued, "I have to really push myself. Even with injuries, you still have to dance, and return to regular practice. These guys [other dancers] do it all the time. They're making me do a lot of stunts. There's also a massive stunt coming up in the finale. Shraddha too has a lot of stunts."
During the shooting schedule that concluded weeks before this interaction, Dhawan said that he would couple his dance training and shooting stints with a workout. "Living this active lifestyle, I feel like I've become five years younger. I'm 32, so doing this is not easy. But, I also have a lot of energy which finds an outlet through a film like this one", he said.
Directed by choreographer Remo D'Souza, the film is slated to hit the theatres on January 24 and has Prabhu Deva and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles apart from the lead duo.
