Your favourite café in Mumbai...
I have a few favourites for various reasons, one is Prithvi because it has so much nostalgia, not that I was a theatre actor or anything. It’s been my go to place since I came to the city, I relish the bun maska and chai. Over the years, it has developed and the vibe changed but it only got cooler, it gives you a warm feeling and a feel good factor. 1BHK because of its homely feel, you don’t have to be all dressed up.
The dishes and drinks on the menu that you always order...
At Prithvi it’s chai, bun maska and croissant. Parathas too! The food is amazing.
The café with impressive décor…
I like minimal décor so Estella, which is more of a restaurant though, so I’ll again go for Prithvi!
The café in which you have most memories with your friends...
Prithvi has the maximum memories because we didn’t have a lot of money to eat at expensive cafes. Prithvi was nominal back then, going there and seeing people work on scripts had a very artistic vibe, that gives a feel good factor as an artiste. It’s one of the best places you can go to. We used to go there during our struggling days and be a part of conversations to understand how psyche works. My mother used to love the place too.
Your favourite café for dessert...
Banofee Pie by Homemade Café at Oshiwara, it’s to die for. Then the burnt cheese cake at Danielle.
Favourite café close to home…
Location doesn't matter to me but it has to be 1BHK that’s where I usually head with my co-actors Diljot Chhabra and Simple Kaul. We chat, sing, laugh and have a lot of fun. I love going to Parsi cafes to binge it, Koolers, Britannia, Military café so distance is not a factor for me ever.
