Actress Pooja Banerjee and husband Sandeep Sejwal have turned parents to a baby girl. The actress who had been working till a few days before giving birth, recently quit Kumkum Bhagya. She had announced her pregnancy last year in November and revealed that she had learnt about her it while on the sets of Kumkum Bhagya.
A few days before giving birth Pooja in conversation with mid-day. com had said, “After Kumkum…I have been keeping myself busy packing my hospital bag, buying baby stuff and things I will need post pregnancy. I have been emptying all the cupboards to fit baby’s things, buying a new cupboard was in the itinerary. We have been planning the nursery, so it’s just been one thing after the other.”
Speaking about why she quit the show she adds, “I wanted some family time which is why I chose to quit. I didn’t want to keep them hanging for two-three months waiting for my return. Quitting was the logical option because I was shooting from 9am to 4pm and it became too much for me after a while.”
In an earlier interview with mid-day.com, the actress had said she was hoping for a baby girl. “have two brothers so I’ve never had a girl sibling and I never got to share clothes and other things, though I did it with my best friends. My brothers always complain to my mother ‘Pooja ke liye aap sab karte ho hamare liye nahi karte.’ My mother-in-law also gets the same complaint from my husband. So mothers are always like that, we like doing things for our daughters though we are daddy’s girls. Your own daughter feel likes your shadow, so I always wanted that.”
