'Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' on Star Plus may have gone off air but the show starring Karanvir Sharma and Debattama Saha continues to receive love from the fans. As 'Shaurya Aur Anokhi…' completes a year, Karanvir chatted with mid-day.com as he recalled his priceless memories associated with the show.
How do you feel that fans are still showering 'Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani' with so much love?
I was truly emotional seeing the trend on Twitter they (fans) recently had and all the lovely memories came back because our fans are so good. The fans are creative, intellectual, brilliant in the work that they have dedicated to an art form of sustaining the fandom as they call it the Shakhi fandom. They are so creative with their VMs tier posts, their art, sketches and everything else. The way they write their messages, the way they type things down are so in sync and hence it became the No 1 trend. It humbles you, to be honest; it feels that the year went too fast. The show only aired for a short period of time. We all knew the stories, we all knew what is going to happen, the dimensions that get added eventually. So, it's very humbling and very nice. I missed everyone associated with it. A very big thank you to the entire cast and everybody.
Do you remember the first day of the shoot and which was your first scene?
I was shooting quite a lot; I was testing a lot with Anokhi before Debattama was signed for the role. I was doing a lot of mock shoots so for me it helped me understand my character better. My first schedule was in Punjab, I remember when I donned the spectacles, the suit and the first shot was of me entering the college premises and unfortunately it couldn't make it to the final cut but there was this very high pitch of being tall and you know that this guy has to have a body language of a professor, who is very strict. I requested the director to play some music just to ease the stress as it was my first day and I was all nervous. He played some music and I did the walk of Shaurya, rather the professor Shaurya.
A message to fans who are waiting for Season 2?
I really wish Season 2 happens but never say never! Let's hope for the best till then enjoy watching the show. I have started watching the show again.
