Jaan Kumar Sanu on Nikki Tamboli's allegation of forcibly kissing her: I did not kiss her at all

Jaan Kumar Sanu, who got evicted from the Bigg Boss 14 house on Day 50, has reacted to the allegations that co-contestant Nikki Tamboli had made in the past. Nikki had accused Jaan of kissing her without consent, reiterating the adage that no means no.

Now, in an interview with ETimes, Jaan said, "I did not kiss Nikki at all. And let me tell you, I have been brought up by my mother to respect people." When asked why did Nikki levy charges, Jaan said, "Well, Nikki is a loose mouth. Ponder a while, didn't she say something just 3/4 days ago very derogatory in an unparliamentary language about Vikas Gupta getting too close for comfort with Devoleena Bhattacharjee? And, isn't that so irrelevant, rather indigestible?"

For the unversed, in one of the episodes in November, Nikki was seen nominating her friend Jaan for jail. The episode introduced Bigg Boss jail for the first time in this season, with contestants having to name any two housemates who deserve to be locked up. Nikki was seen saying she would like to send Jaan to jail for kissing her though she asked him not to. "Aap actually deserve karte ho jail jaana. Manaa karne ke baawajood agar aap kisi ladki ko kiss karte hain toh woh disrespectful ho jaata hai (You deserve to be in jail. If you kiss a girl despite being told not to, it's disrespectful)," said Nikki. An angry Jaan said in defence (inside the house), "Why the hell is she kissing me back?" to which Nikki denies kissing him back.

Reminiscing the incident, Jaan said, "That was the time I completely lost faith in her which I had initially. Just for two seconds of fame one can allege such things? Aly was going to vote against her because she had misbehaved with him and she wanted to shift the focus. A few inmates might have believed her but I was very happy when Pavitra Punia and Aly Goni stood up for me and took a stand. Think of it, I could have said things about Nikki but I did not; Aly in fact told me that why don't I open up- but I did not. Of course, I was saddened by Nikki's turnaround towards me- but anyway."

Talking about his camaraderie with Nikki, Jaan said he was attached to her, while in the house. However, he specified saying, "I was not in love with Nikki. Inside Bigg Boss house, contestants do group up and vent out their stories to each other and in the process, a certain camaraderie might develop. I was not attracted to her either."
