Surabhi Das plays the titular role in Nima Denzongpa on Colors TV. Surabhi recalls childhood memories of the festival in her village, tells us about her shopping and more.

What are your Diwali plans and What have you shopped for?
Kandil, lights, diyas and I’m excited to decorate my home this Diwali.

What are your childhood memories of Diwali?
I lived in a village back then and we used to decorate banana trees in front of every house with sticks and diyas. This was done early morning so we kids would be excited and wait all night. In the evening we kids would visit each house for prasad. Though I didn’t like crackers, I would play with colourful phuljaris.

What are the sweets you love gorging on during Diwali?
Though I don’t like sweets, I eat jalebi and peda during Diwali.

Any favourite Diwali song or scene from a movie?
Happy Diwali from Home Delivery.

What's your favourite part of the festival?
Lights and diyas.
