With their previous small screen outings, including Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Do Hanson Ka Joda, enjoying a successful run on primetime television, filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya returns for his second innings on the tube with four shows.

Says a source close to Barjatya's banner, Rajshri Productions, "There are big plans to venture into TV again. Both Sooraj and his elder son, Devansh, are actively involved with the scripting and in talks with leading channels."

Shooting for the first schedule of the Prachi Shah and Samridh Bawa-starrer Ek Shringaar – Swabhimaan, the first series of the lot, was done in Jaipur, with the second schedule kicking off in Mumbai on Monday. Buzz is, with the ongoing show, Swaragini, going off air next month, Barjatya is eyeing the 9.30 pm slot on Colors. Vishesh Suri, general manager at Rajshri Productions-TV, refrained from divulging details.

For the second show, Barjatya will delve into the life of celebrated poet Meerabai. Rajshri is currently scouting for a familiar face to play the protagonist. His other two productions will also be family dramas.

Barjatya's first cousin, Kavita currently helms an ongoing prime time show, Ek Rishta Sajhedari Ka on Sony channel.
